Meet Orville the Brave!

From humble beginnings and our first sweltering
California-to-Maine overnight at an Arizona truck stop...

...and his team of surgeons. Note new solar panels!

To the start of renovation, which took 8 months while I lived upstairs in the truck shop. Here's Orville's facelift...

More repairs to the frame, and the period-correct burnt-orange shag doghouse is done!

Then at long last, into the paint shop. Phew.

But wait! I forgot the whole saga of the interior transformation! We went from this...

...to this...

...and then somehow to new southern pecan wood floors, a new Norcold fridge, Soft Candlelight paint throughout, and custom seat in progress! Oh yeah, and the faux alligator, marine-grade vinyl dash. Just sayin'.

Plus some nifty steel kickplates as a nod to Brave's big ol' Dodge truck chassis.

Here's how it all turned out!

That's a queen-size bed in the back. Kitsoo not included.

The Brave is pretty dainty, at only 20 feet long, 9 feet tall, and 8 feet wide. He fits in a regular parking space!
